Tim Sonnofeld, engineer at Milkboy Studios is currently finishing up the mix for the first single- of course now that we're satisfied with the sparkling acoustic sounds! :) Next to be finished are the tracks I did with Tim Reynolds, TR3, and Stanley Jordan down in the Outerbanks. In addition, some beautiful renditions of my instrumental pieces have been captured and I'll be adding some auxiliary percussion and textures on them this week. I'm excited to share it with you!!

Recording Updates!
Last week we did a mixing session for "Garden of Love" and halfway through decided that the choruses needed 4 more acoustic guitars. This may sound absurd, but there's a certain effect that I'm going for to make it sparkle a bit more. There's nothing like layering some beautiful Martin guitars! I also connected with Keith Crupi, amazing percussionist/drummer in NYC who recorded Marimba on a brand new song "Cycles of the Moon." Guitar and Marimba combined creates a gorgeous textural element!

Electric guitar tapping/piano debut
I'm blown away by the world of finger tapping on electric guitar! Tonight I will be debuting some of my piano songs, in addition to solo electric and acoustic playing down at T-bones in Ellicott city, MD. Composing layers for studio tracks has truly been an inspiration for varieties of instrumentation. Also, in effort to perform some of my full band songs solo I've discovered that some work better with tapping guitar parts on electric with an octave pedal, or performing the whole song on piano. Ah the worlds of discovery! Since I get to play for four hours tonight I figured why not bring all of these instruments?!? Hope to see you there! PS- "Garden of Love" single Will be mixed and mastered next week. So excited to share this with you! Have a great weekend :)
